i want to create a software that run to 80 % only on one machine.
How much slow down the jmx technology my algorithms down.

Are jmx faster or slower than normal ejbs?

First to clear your misconception... jmx and ejb are not competitive technologies... they are infact complementry... you can use jmx to manage the deployment descriptor of your ejb components.

Now for your question about speed... jmx does involve a little bit of overhead but it is just really a technology that needs to be used in applications that are complex and need a generic management tool for its components... moreover jmx is infant.. there are certain things that are not yet included as part of jmx.But if you want to write a simple application using ejb I guess your app server can do the managment I wouldnt really advise using jmx as yet...
