I need to implement a Java SOAP client to call a VB SOAP server. I can manage the Java side all fine, but I'm not too experienced in the VB world.

Does anyone know of a tool which will allow me to take a VB application and easily add SOAP server support in a stand-alone manner (i.e.: without requiring IIS)???

The idea is to take an existing VB app, compile a WSDL I already have from my Java app and to generate a VB object which in itself is a SOAP server, and then implement those methods in VB, which will then be invoked by a Java SOAP client.

Any pointers on this manner would be greatly appreciated.

I've just finished a project that went the other way. Using GLUE to publish a Java service and calling it from VB.

From the documentation you should also be able to publish using this toolkit.

So Donwload the MS SOAP Toolkit (SP2) from www.msdn.microsoft.com and follow the links.

I think you'll have to hand craft the VB.
