I want to send a binary file (in fact a *.PCL file) to a network printer using a stand alone java application.
Source code will be useful.
Thanks!

I wrote such an application to send a file to a network laser printer for GCC Printers. You can find many freeware applications for doing this listed at the bottom of their upgrade page.

In particular, there is the LPR Utility that is written in Java. It is open source and the source code is included in the jar file.

Check your printer's documentation. Many printers have a port (like 9190) that can be connected to via a standard socket, and you can just push the file into that socket, and it will print.
