When I send the following HTTP request to Tomcat 4.0.2 Tomcat fails to parse the URL and never sends the request to my servlet, instead a 400 (Bad Request) is returned.

GET /myWebApp/myServlet/2d/file%25percent.txt HTTP/1.1

It seems that Tomcat is having problems with the URL encoded string( file%percent.txt is encoded as file%25percent.txt).

Of course Tomcat 3.2.x handle this request without any problems.

There was a similar problem in an earlier question. Did you explicitly declare your servlet mapping in the web.xml?
