We have issue of porting our java application on IBM OS/390 and DB2. We getting problem with retrieving data our of DB2 using prepare statement. The error that we are getting is:

6 03 05 03:31:53 CRITICAL An Application Error Occurred
com.tru.arch.facility.database.DataAccessException: Error executing queryDB2JDBCCursor Received Error in Method prepare:SQLCODE==> -204 SQLSTATE ==> 42704 Error Tokens ==> < > WEBSRV.TMS001SUB_GRP_XREFError executing queryDB2JDBCCursor Received Error in Method prepare:SQLCODE==> -204 SQLSTATE ==> 42704 Error Tokens ==> < > WEBSRV.TMS001SUB_GRP_XREF

We were told that the possible problem would be in matching exact data type used in the DB2 when creating prepared statement. For example, if database field is of type SMALLINT then we MUST use *.setInt() method of prepared statement; if database field is of type DATE then we MUST use *.setDate() method etc.

If anyone knows what causing the error or how compatible JDBC 1.2 is with IBM OS/390 and DB2 then please let us know. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks a lot.
