With tomcat 3.2.1 all the request information was logged in the file jasper.log. This was excellent for debugging user interface problems.

I have upgraded to release 3.3a because there was a server reloading problem at 3.2.1 which is fixed in 3.3a. However, now the jasper log file NEVER gets anything written into it.

I have tried setting the verbosity level to INFORMATION and DEBUG and it does not make any difference. I can run the server for days and the jasper log file stays zero bytes.

Can anybody tell me what I need to do to get this working? Please!

Yes, it dosn't work, and more over.
After first call od servlet the function getRemoteAddr() return the real IP-address of the user.

But following calls do not see the address of client but see the address after call: log(getRemoteAddrr())

Tomcat-3.3a, IBM JDK1.3
