I have written some XSL Style Sheets. I want those sheets to be passed a variable so that they can make a select statement bassed upon it.

For example: I want to have and HTML page with a series of options. When one option is choosen I want it to pass this option to the XSL file so that it can format XML accordingly

Any idea?

you can pass parameters to the Transformer before it transform XML using XSL. so simply pass the parameter to XSL, define xsl:param in the stylesheet and do with it whatever you need to do with it.
