Hi, I'm desperately trying to integrate CVS with JBuilder 5. We are connecting to our CVS repository server using SSH with public/private keys (ssh allows no login and only cvs server protocol). Hi,
I'm desperately trying to integrate CVS with JBuilder 5.

We are connecting to our CVS repository server using SSH with public/private keys (ssh allows no login and only cvs server protocol).

It is working fine with WinCVS and IntelliJ.

The configuration in JBuilder is something like

:ext: @ :/cvs

But everytime I try to make an update,
JBuilder ask for a password.

According to the bugfix list of JBuilder 5 Update 1, they claim the problem to be fixed:

[115010] Concurrent Versions System (CVS): Cannot
place a project into CVS using the EXT
connection type. The user is asked to submit a password needlessly, and
cannot proceed.

But I've installed the Update without success.

Any help is appreciated.

Martin

I opened my .jpx.local file (e.g. YourProject.jpx.local), and scrolled to the bottom.

Make sure ext is set

team.CvsAccessMethod[0]=ext

You may have to change the module; JBuilder was trying to use "mymodule" instead of
"dev/mymodule", so you might have to add a parent folder to make the module absolute
if its not already

team.CvsModule[0]=dev/mymodule

Now I entered the full path to ssh

team.CvsRemoteShell[0]=C:cygwininssh

The rest is straightforward

team.CvsRepository[0]=/home/cvs

team.CvsServer[0]=yourserver.sourceforge.net

team.CvsUsername[0]=yourusername

Good luck...
