I installed Tomcat 4.0.1 on Solaris 7. Due to segmentation errors when starting tomcat, I pulled down jdk1.3.1_02 from Sun and installed the newer java in a local directory and updated the JAVA_HOME environment variable. Tomcat seems to be starting but it is not acting like other installations that I have done (the default tomcat web server page is not coming up). The catalina.out file has these messages in it when I do a restart on the server daemon: Starting service Tomcat-Standalone Apache Tomcat/4.0.1 Starting service Tomcat-Apache Apache Tomcat/4.0.1 Any ideas, I am unable to make any more progress.    More>>

I installed Tomcat 4.0.1 on Solaris 7. Due to
segmentation errors when starting tomcat, I
pulled down jdk1.3.1_02 from Sun and installed the
newer java in a local directory and updated
the JAVA_HOME environment variable.

Tomcat seems to be starting but it is not
acting like other installations that I have done
(the default tomcat web server page is not coming
up).

The catalina.out file has these messages in it
when I do a restart on the server daemon:
Starting service Tomcat-Standalone
Apache Tomcat/4.0.1
Starting service Tomcat-Apache
Apache Tomcat/4.0.1

Any ideas, I am unable to make any more progress.
