I wrote a program to read mail from mail.yahoo.com. The program seems to have trouble connecting the server. I used Authenticator and entered a valid id and password. Could anyone provide me some hints? I've looked for any info on this matter in this forum and the FAQS but I haven't been successful. Thanks!

Have you enabled the "receive mail from other client" in yahoo option settings??
