I had a need to move some error-catching from ...Action.perform(...) method to session bean (let them be MyBean, MyHome and My ). So, i decided to use ActionErrors class in that session bean, to markup all errors and then return them to ...Action.perform(..) codepoint by some method of that sessionbean ( public ActionErrors getActionErrors() etc ). Well, there was a problem - as i called My.getActionErrors() , an java.lang.LinkageError was displayed as a root cause. I checked my code of bean and interface, i made sure that ActionErrors class is available to all parts of jboss-tomcat server, but no help. The error is exactly: java.lang.LinkageError: Class org/ap   More>>

The error is exactly: java.lang.LinkageError: Class org/apache/struts/action/ActionError violates loader constraints.

ActionErrors and ActionError classes implement Serializable interface, what else is needed?

thank you

i solved my problem - the only combination that worked was: first - struts.jar in WEB-INF/lib folder and second - two necessary struts classes included in ejb jar archive. why didn't it work when sturts.jar was in jboss's lib/ext folder??
