I am a Sun Java Certified Developer.

I know that the next level is Java Certified Developer. But I have not come across many people who have done this. Where can I find more information (some tutorials, books, scope, etc.) for this.

If you go on the suned.sunCom web site, you will come across a the initial step to get the voucher & the pupose of the exam.



  1. Voucher is about 200 €.

  2. Aim of the exam :
    Enhence an existing program.

  3. Duration : not-limited

  4. Ressource needed :
    There's always some networking (Sockets or RMI) & some GUI (must be done in Swing only).

    So I bought a few books on RMI (O'Reilly) & on GUIcomponent (WROX)



The exam in itself is not too difficult but the guideline are very broad, hence you have to make decisions about the implementation details ... all that w/o feed back !
