The Development guides has an example of using the connection pool data source in java class (Action class), but anyone know how to use it in JSP ?

And is it a correct practise in Struts that sets connection to beans in JSP ?

The Generic Datasource connection pool can be
accessed from the JavaServer Page. It's exposed as a
datasource object
in the application scope, and plays well with the
Jakarta Taglib

dbTags
.

But, the best practice is to obtain the data from the
model in the action, and then pass it along to the
JSP as a collection of beans, which is what I would
recommend.
