My first instinct would be to say this is probably an issue with the user and file permissions on your linux file system rather than an install issue. Is the path to jbuilder you selected not owned by the user you are installing with? Does the path exist? If not does the user have creation permissions in that directory? The user installing jbuilder will need read, write, and executable permissions in the directory it is being installed in. Also some certain access rights maybe needed as well I am not familiar with that particular version of jbuilder but if you say point it to a jdk it will need access to that directory, etc etc etc
