My problem is this. I am trying to develop as part of my system a login feature.
I want different users to have different access rights, like that of an administrator
to that of a regular user.

I was wondering if anyone could inform me of what I would need
to get me started (tutorials etc).

Searching on the web I read that ColdFusion would be the
best way to go. Could I use JSP instead ?? If notcan I use Java with ColdFusion.

Thanx in advance.

for example, create a table called user, with fields such as userid and rights. when a user logins, verify his ids and rights from a servlet. if authentication sucessful, store his details in a session bean, then redirect him to the protected jsp pages according to his id and rights.
