How can I define mouseovers for AWT Menus?

The JDK defines no addMouseListener events and the such. I try to overwrite the processEvent method in awt.MouseComponent , but it is final. Is there any good way to do this?

I basically just want to find some way of realizing when a mouse enters a Menu/MenuItem..this is driving me CRAZY!

Thanks ahead of time.

Are you able to use Swing?

It looks like you can override processEvent if you subclass java.awt.Menu. You should be able to take a look at the events that come in and figure out which ones are mouse events.
