well basically i need lots of help. i need to download jdk from sun but they don't do a version for windows xp. what shall i do in order to get java working on my computer? Also what compiler etc will i need and where would i get it? Thanks

I don't think there is a JVM for Windows XP yet, but I would expect it to come soon from SUN. Until then, there is not much you can do...
