Hi Anitha

In order to execute command.com or anyother executable on windows you will have to use the Runtime.exec() method found in the java.lang package, for example:

Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();

Process proc = rt.exec("notepad");

However read the article regarding Runtime.exec() method found at www.javaworld.com. The link to the article is:
http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-12-2000/jw-1229-traps.html

Hope this helps.
