The simplest way is to define a page containing two frames (top, bottom). The upper frame will be height "0", so it will be invisible and will contain an empty page, the bottom frame will fill the 100% of the browser space and contain your application. As result you'll have that the URL address in the browser will be fixed to the page defining frames, but your application will work as previously with no modifications.

Take in mind that there are also browser not supporting frames (very old ones).
