If you look at UML Distilled: A Brief Guide to the Standard Object Modeling Language, by Martin Fowler, Kendall Scott, available from www.amazon.com, or hopefully, from your College library, you should see a nice simple process for mapping out the game. I would imagine the object of your exercise is to test object and method "finding" - this book gives some good tips.
