Hi, I have scanned a person's signature into a TIF file (600 dpi) Then this TIF file is converted to a .GIF (or .JPG) file (Photoshop) When I shrink the size of the GIF/JPG file with a factor of 4 then this signature looses too much resolution when printed on a document ! (JDK1.1.7) This is perhaps not really a java issue, but are there alternatives ? * What is the maximum dpi number for a .GIF file ? 72dpi ? I can't save into a .GIF with higher resolution. * Are there other image file-formats which can be printed from within JDK1.1.7 ? Thank you in advance, Greetings, Geert Clauwers    More>>
