Reading Java Serialized Objects in C++

I have written a client server application in java in which the client and server communicate via serialized java objects. I now have to provide support for a C++ client . How do I go about reading serialized java objects in C++ ?

It's a bad option: use XML instead.
anyway there's a specification that says how objects are streamed (check on java.sun.com site for that document).
