Hi All,

I am trying to set-up JBuilder5 Pro to work peacefully with Tomcat 4.0.1.

I have created a project with just one JSP page, and I get the following error:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/jasper/JspC error, and to be honest I've spent three days trying to find the problem.

Has anyone out there set the above successfuly.

Thanks in advance for any help

Cheers

Your config inside JB have lost the info about the JSP compiler.

Here is what you have to do.

  1. In the "configure libraries" dialog box look inside the "Tomcat 4" libraries and the "classes" tab.
  2. Here, you should have the following classes. These are all in the tomcat_HOME/server/lib directory.

    1. catalina.jar
    2. crimson.jar
    3. jakarta-regexp-1.2.jar
    4. jaxp.jar
    5. warp.jar

  3. See to that you have the "tomcat 4" library added to your project's "required libraries"

Get back to the site if this doesn't solve your problem.

Good Luck!
