How do I play audio (.wav/.aiff) files stored on my local drive to the standard outputStream using the Java IO classes?


Would it also be possible to play more than one audio (.wav/.aiff) file at the same time?

playing audio is already covered in the FAQs. The API is not related to the I/O classes at all. And, you don't "play" audio to an I/O stream. It is played out the speaker.
