I am trying to build an user interface where send/replay messages
appear chained(like in discussion forums). I need to find out what messages refer to which
and put all together whose belong to a same line of conversation.

Could someone give me a code sample for
learning how to do it?

There is nothing built into the JavaMail API to do this for you.
