Hi, I have a strange situation with java mail: try { System.out.println("before connection"); trp.connect("aserver","",""); System.out.println("after connection"); } catch(.....) The above code is blocked at trp.connect() but when i run netstat , i see that a socket with aserver is established! ( netstat : aserver established) But trp is not returned. Hi,

I have a strange situation with java mail:

try {
System.out.println("before connection");
trp.connect("aserver","","");
System.out.println("after connection");
}
catch(.....)

The above code is blocked at trp.connect() but when i
run netstat , i see that a socket with aserver is established!

( netstat : aserver established)

But trp is not returned. This happens usually with my system (WIN 2000).
After some time netstat shows that the state is became CLOSE_WAIT .
I have checked the thread states by using perfmon , there is one which its state is 4:execution delay.

Do you have any idea about it? Is there any way to interrupt the
trp.connect method?

Kind Regards,
