I am looking for a way to perform tasks "filter" or "replace"
but with regular expression or wildcard for token. for example

@version 2.0 @

in the file will become

@version 3.0 @

with

I did not see any regexp behavior in filter or replace.
Like CVS does.

Any ideas

Ant currently does not have regular expression replace capability, although there have been unsupported tasks to do such things posted to the ant-dev and ant-user e-mail lists (see the official Ant site for pointers to the e-mail list archives).

In the case you provided, you could still use the regular filter approach though by doing it like this:


version @version@
