A control character in one of the text field causes the update statement to terminate before the where clause and update all rows for the table.

Has anyone encounter the problem mentioned in subject. I am using JDBC 2.0 in UDB environment.

Could pl. give more details like
what the value is and whether ur using
PreparedStatement or just Statement and the query if possible.
