I am behind a corporate Firewall. I need to access a pop server thats outside the firewall. When i try to access it in the normal way, i get a NoRouteToHostException. The same works fine if i try from out side the firewall. Can java mail help me in getting thru the firewall without having to change any of the FW's existing settings?

If your firewall isn't permitting the access, nothing JavaMail can do will get through the firewall.
