Is there a mechanism to genereate a persistent representation of the AST
I generate using the ANTLR parser? I would like to be able to construct a
new AST using an AST factory from the representation I generated from a previous
AST.

Yep. There is a serialization protocol (XML) in BaseAST:




public void xmlSerializeNode(Writer out)
