my program is calling a function that function returns a List type object and I am just copying that object in the List Object. But I am getting the error
"SchemaParser.java": Error #: 354 : incompatible types; found: com.sun.java.util.collections.List, required: java.util.List at line 111, column 54

Can some body please help me what this problem is.

Thank you very much in advance.

Your problem is either
  • you have imported com.sun.java.util.collections.List in your application instead of java.util.List; or
  • you are attempting to copy a com.sun.java.util.collections.List into a java.util.List object.
The solution is to decide which one you want, and then to fully scope the type during allocation.
