I WANT TO TREAT AN IMAGE AS COMPONENT SO THAT I CAN RECOGNIZE IT ON MOUSE CLICK EVENT SUCH LIKE METHOD
getComponentAt(x,y) .

You will have to use a component on which you paint this image and then use mouse on the component.

Try JLabel or so.
This will work well, especially if you do not want to rotate the image.
