Am porting an application from J++6 to JDK1.3.1. Almost all data is handled via serialization both for storage and for client server communication. My problem is that the serialization has to be interoperable between the two and it does not seem to work. The serialisation IDs match in the source code but run time errors get thrown claiming mismatches. The JDK1.3.1 end is set for the use of serialization protocol one (the original) and therefore things ought to match but they just don't. Would be grateful if anyone who has got to the bottom of this problem elsewhere could share their wisdom. Thanks A    More>>
