I want to know the difference between EJB1.1 spec. and EJB2.0 specifications

some major differences are:
1) U can now have Message Driven Stateless Beans. Earlier one had to use JMS so this feature is inbuilt.
2) One can have local as well as remote interfaces for Enterprise java beans so one does not need to have heavy Remote Stubs for local interactions.
3) One more thing is CMR also called as Container Managed Relationship for persistence. In EJB 1.1 specs. one had to tie one ejb per table and if there are relations then one had touse dependent objects. Where as in ejb2.0 we can have relations managed and maintained by the container.

Hi,

You can take a look to this JavaWorld article: Read all about EJB 2.0.

It has been written time ago, i think just right after the first draft of the specifications was defined. Even if between that draft and the final release there are many chages, the article is worth a read because underlines the biggest difference with the previous specifications.

download ejb 2.0 specification. through the document, you will see references to new elements and changes to the old elements.
