some major differences are:
1) U can now have Message Driven Stateless Beans. Earlier one had to use JMS so this feature is inbuilt.
2) One can have local as well as remote interfaces for Enterprise java beans so one does not need to have heavy Remote Stubs for local interactions.
3) One more thing is CMR also called as Container Managed Relationship for persistence. In EJB 1.1 specs. one had to tie one ejb per table and if there are relations then one had touse dependent objects. Where as in ejb2.0 we can have relations managed and maintained by the container.
