I am attempting to import an application that was not wrttin using VisualAge, but is successfully deployed on WAS 3.5.2. The following error is atypical of all problems encountered. "The method getAttribute invoked for type javax.servlet.http.HttpSession with arguments (java.lang.String) is not defined" The class involved utilises a HttpSession object as a constructor parameter, and the HttpSession class does indeed have a getAttribute(java.lang.String) method. Question: Is this type of error going to lead to run time problems, i,.e within WTE ?? If so, any help would be greatly appreciated. Any idea or fixes to resolve this would be much appreciated.    More>>

Are you sure that the package javax.servlet.http.* is
  • In your workspace - if it is not, then you must load it

  • The correct version of the SDK (servlet development kit)
