Hi there,

I am running a JNI Application, in which I have to pass string values between the Java and C functions. It turns out however that each time I try to pass a jstring from c to java, I recieve an error Message

SIGBUS : BUS_ADRALN

This works well on Linux on the other hand. Is there a way anyone can help out in this ?!? My application has to run on Irix.

Hi Innocent,


How are you extracting the String characters? Is it possible that you are using GetStringCritical and doing work that might block?


Or you might have a build issue. Maybe you need to specify some packing directive to make things work on Irix. Sorry, I have no concrete Irix experience, but I have run into the other two issues before.
