I am sending repeated mail to a particular email address using the java.util.Timer class.Now I want to be notified when the message is opened and
stop the timer.I want to catch the open event.If anyone has an answer please reply to bsvikram_18@yahoo.com

There is no sure fire way of knowing when an email is opened. There are some tricks already mentioned in the FAQ, but they are not 100% reliable. Just think how much spammers would love that.
