The event firing or processing(not sure) takes more time in jdk1.3.1 than it does with jdk11.8. For e.g. when a prohibitive character is pressed continuously, beep sound remains for longer time in jk1.3.1 as against jdk1.1.8.
Also when continuos CTRL+TAB is pressed on dialogs containing tab panel, the flickering appears when card layout gets flipped. When the keys are released in jdk1.1.8 the flickering stops where as in jdk1.3.1 flickering continuous for a longer time.
I want both of them to take the same time.
can anyone suggest me a solution for this problem.

Three possible solutions:

  1. Use a faster computer
  2. Downgrade to 1.1.8
  3. Stop pressing prohibited characters :)

There's a lot of new stuff in the newer JDKs and performance therefore suffers.

I hope the performance isn't so horrible that you have to downgrade. The newer JREs (and APIs) have a lot to offer.
