Hello

I would like to copy vertical subset of linked list. For example:

my linked list object linkList includes oo object which includes following fields:

class oo {
int a;
int b;
int c;
}

I would like to copy just (a,c) fields of oo to new collection. In other words, in SQL language, I would like to see the results of:

SQL> select a,c from linkList;

thanks in advance...

Collections contain objects. If you don't want all three fields of object in the collection then you have to create a new object with only two fields.

Well, you'd need to create two collections, one for the 'a's and one for the 'c's, iterate through the entire collection, and get each a and c and put it in the proper collection.

OR, you could create another object, (ac?):

class ac { int a, c; }

and iterate through the original collection, get each A and C, create a new 'ac' object and set their values, and stick that value into the collection.

It all seems pretty pointless since you've already got all the data in a collection, anyway.
