Why i always get a value 0 or the total no of email in my mailbox when i use a getNewMessageCount()

hi,
lately i have just create a very simple program where i make a connection to my yahoo inbox . The problem is when i use the method getNewMessageCount() to check the no of new mail, the method either gave me a value 0 or the total no of email in my mailbox. So i am wandering if there is anyway to correct the problem. Thanks

As already answered in the FAQ, POP doesn't understand the concept of "new" messages.


To correct, find an IMAP provider.
