Hai,

What is the need for following Design Patterns in application Development.Yeah i am aware of the uses like Modularity,Performance,Predictability,etc.But what is the intent of Software Design Patterns from the programmer perspective to use them for Application development.

Design Patterns are solutions that worked for people. If you want to re-invent the wheel, ignore them. If you want to learn from others experiences, take a look at them...

Essentially the advantage is that developers who know and understand patterns have a common medium for explaining implementation ideas.


I would suggest that you read the first chapter of any book on patterns to answer your question in the general terms in which you couched it.

Alternatively, enter - "Design Patterns Primer" in any search engine.
