Visibroker 4.1.1 and Java 1.3 (and 1.4) do not seem to communicate.

I have a Visibroker server that creates a stringified IOR that gets read in by a Java ORB based client. I do a string_to_object then narrow that object to the proper type and all that works fine. The problem happens when I try to call a method on that narrowed object. I don't get an exception, the thing just hangs there in limbo! If I stop the server, then I catch an exception as expected. If I configure my client to use Visibroker, then all is well. If both client and server are using Sun's ORB then all is well. It is only when I try to mix the two that I have problems. Any ideas? Thanks.    More>>
