Good afternoon!

I have writing a program that zip and unzip files, like Winzip does.

Now, I would like to do a check before unzipping files. I wrote a code source, but I donĀ“t know if is the right Checksum value returned. What is the correct value that it must return when the file is OK, or the value when the file is damned?

Would you help me?

Thanks a lot. Annie Fran

It's not clear to me whether you're using the Java
classes in java.util.zip or you've written
your own.

Zip uses a CRC-32 checksum in several ways. See
the Zip format specification (http://www.dogma.net/DataCompression/ArchiveFormats/zip.txt)
for details. The java.util.zip package has a class
named CRC32 which will compute these
checksums for you, and the other Zip classes in that
package make the required checks when unzipping.
