Why couldn't I get the variable value from one jsp page (A), when the variable is declared and assigned value in another jsp page(B) which is included in the (A) jsp page by directive <%@include file = B.jsp%>

Its because, the container just gets all the contents of the included file byte by byte and inserts into the current page. The servlet container doesn't bother whether the included page is a html page or a JSP. Hope this answers your question.
