when i run my clientprogram for receiveing mail i always get a NoSuchProvider Exception.i have not unjared the mail.jar file and i have also tried granting permissions in my policy file .still it says the same error.my operating system is windows 2000

I had the same problem when I attempted to write my own code duplicating the information in the tutorial code. It turned out that my problem was that while I could run the code fine from the command line, which was using JDK 1.2.2, JBuilder, which is what I had written the code in was attempting to use a different JDK than the one used at the command line. Perhaps you have a similar problem in your environment.

Which version of JavaMail are you using? As already mentioned in the FAQ, if you are using 1.1, you have to get the POP3 provider separately.
