Depends on your definitions for "thin web architecture" and "resides".

The typical definition for "thin web clients" is that the client is a browser. Some people may or may not include JavaScript in that definition. Some folks may also allow for Java client applications that are very thin.

In terms of "residing" only on the server... That depends on whether your definition considers e.g., cached pages as residing on the client or not (and whether or not you allow your web pages to be cached at all).
