Hi, I am implementing a lan search tool. The problem is : suppose i know "XYZ" is a machine in the lan. How can I know what folder are shared in machine XYZ. the approach I followed is File f = new File("\\XYZ"); System.out.println("is File "+f.isFile()+" is Directory "+f.isDirectory()); File[] fList = f.listFiles(); The output shows that \XYZ is neither a file nor a directory. And when i say listFiles it returns me null. But if I go in windows explorer and write \XYZ it gives me the folders shared under the machine name XYZ . How can get those folder and file names , which r shared, in my lan. thanks in advance Pani    More>>
