In the package java.math (Version 1.4 beta), the class BigInteger provides two methods for exponentiating a BigInteger, namely: public BigInteger pow(int exponent); and public BigInteger modPow(BigInteger exp,BigInteger mod); I'd need the following method: public BigInteger powBig(BigInteger exponent); My question: Is there a way to use the second method defined by Sun to get the result that would be returned by the method I need, i.e. I need to be able to specify an exponent being a BigInteger and not simply an integer, in order to do some cryptographic works. Thanks.    More>>

In the package java.math (Version 1.4 beta), the
class BigInteger provides two methods for
exponentiating a BigInteger, namely:

public BigInteger pow(int exponent);

and

public BigInteger modPow(BigInteger exp,BigInteger mod);

I'd need the following method:

public BigInteger powBig(BigInteger exponent);

My question: Is there a way to use the second method defined
by Sun to get the result that would be returned by
the method I need, i.e. I need to be able to specify
an exponent being a BigInteger and not simply an integer,
in order to do some cryptographic works.
Thanks.
