I am trying to use Java Mail API to send mails..I am successfully able to send mail across my intranet users...But when I am trying to send mails to external user.my mail server responds with error 

			This MTA does not accept relays.
			

			narula_rahul@yahoo.com


I am unable to understand the meaning of this error !What exactly does relays means & how can this problem be sorted !!

Your mail server isn't configured to send mail to a user outside its domain. This is usually an anti-spam measure. Since you have a Yahoo mail account, you can use Yahoo's SMTP server to send mail, or you can contact your system admin to see if there is a way you can validate yourself before sending email so that it will relay.
