If you had a database table with 100 records in then you would expect ejb performence to be fine, if you had 10000 records, you would again think the same, but what about a database table that had 1,000,000 or higher? What is the average amount of records that can be used via entity beans without losing performance or running out of memory in the Java Virtural Machine. Is there an upper limit to the amount of entity beans that can be accessed by the clinet applications, for example servers can only instantiate 40,000 entity beans at one time and what quantity of records in an ejb system is seen as enterprise level?
